Ensemble Days

There are ten Ensemble Days over the course of the academic year: four in the first semester, and six in the second semester. The entire student body is divided into three ensembles: Poco - for the beginners, coached by advanced students; Mezzo - for the intermediate students, coached day me; and Grande - for the advanced students, also coached by me.

During the first semester, each ensemble studies four Christmas-themed pieces of music. The ensembles presents these pieces at the December Ensemble Day during a gathering at the same location where we practice.

During the second semester each ensemble studies five new pieces of music. Towards the end of the year, the ensembles vote on which of these pieces they will perform at the annual recital.
